About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes how See the Bible in Time handles information through its website and Android application. The service includes Bible-study resources and may include account, profile, community, group, private journal, and private prayer features.
Information we collect
When you create an app account, information needed to create and maintain that account may be collected, including your email address and authentication information. You may also provide profile information such as a display name.
When you use Community or Groups, content you intentionally post may be stored and displayed to other users participating in those areas.
If you use Journal or Prayer features, the content you enter may be stored in connection with your signed-in account. These features are intended to be private unless a feature explicitly allows you to choose to share particular content.
How information is used
Information may be used to authenticate users, maintain profiles, provide community and group features, store private journal and prayer content, operate the service, respond to reports and support requests, enforce community standards, and protect the security and integrity of the service.
Service providers
See the Bible in Time uses Firebase services provided by Google for application functionality, including authentication and database services. Information necessary to provide these functions may be processed by these service providers on our behalf.
We do not sell users' personal information.
Community content
Community and group features may contain content submitted by users. Information you intentionally publish in these areas may be visible to other users. Community features include tools intended to report inappropriate content and block users. Community content may be reviewed or removed when necessary to enforce community standards and protect the service.
Journal and prayer
Journal entries and prayer entries are intended to remain private to the signed-in user unless the user explicitly chooses a sharing feature where one is provided. Do not place information in public Community posts that you wish to keep private.
Location
See the Bible in Time does not require precise GPS location for its community structure. If location-based community features are offered, users may manually select general location information such as country, state or region, or city.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled by the application. Authentication and database services are used to restrict access to account information and private user content. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data retention and deletion
Account information and associated user data may be retained while an account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Users may request deletion of their account and associated data through the account controls provided in the application or through the Account & Data Deletion page.
When an account-deletion request is completed, data associated with that account will be deleted except where information must be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory purposes.
Adults
See the Bible in Time is intended for adults and is not designed or marketed as an application for children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when application features or data practices change. The effective date displayed above identifies the current version.
